Artist Bio
Ann Maggi is a retired nurse who is talented in the visual and performing arts. Her extensive travels to unique countries stimulated her interest in art. She has fine-tuned her skills in a variety of media with the guidance of several teachers, including Betty Carney and Pat Arnold. Ann has won several awards at the St. Mary’s and Charles County Fairs, as well as the annual art competition at the Richard Clark Senior Center. "Art is very therapeutic for me. I love creating something from nothing. I get lost in time when I’m painting." In addition to creating a vast number of paintings, three-dimensional works and decoupage, Ann still finds time to lend her vocal and acting talents to the Port Tobacco Players, currently performing in their new road show, The Comedy of Broadway. Of her many talents, Ann claims that her five children are her "biggest artistic achievement." Artist's Work
