Artist Bio

Pat Lally has been a part-time and then fulltime resident of Cobb Island for the past 27 years, but it has only been since retirement 12 years ago that she chose to concentrate on transparent watercolor painting. She has enjoyed workshops with Mel Stabin, Skip Lawrence, Barara Nechis, Ken Hosmer, Carolyn Gawarecki and others. Her paintings have been displayed at the former CCAA "home" in Waldorf, the Commissioner’s Wing of the Charles County Government Building, the Port Tobacco Courthouse, the North End Gallery and the Barrier Island Group for the Arts in Sanibel, FL. She participates in the annual CCAA ArtsFest at Indian Head, the "Mostly Art" Show at Cobb Island, the annual community show at North End Gallery in Leonardtown, Annmarie Garden in Solomons, and the Big Arts Invitational in Sanibel, FL. She is a member of CCAA, Calvert Art Guild, Mattawoman Creek Arts Center, and Big Arts in Sanibel, FL.

Pat Lally (Cobb Island) Has been painting all of her life. She especially enjoys watercolors. Her many talents include stained glass designing and fabrication (free handing panels, windows, & lampshades), and she writes and edits medical textbooks. Pat has been married to her husband Jim for 45 years. She has 6 children and 11 grandchildren, who are now learning how to paint like their grandmother does.
