Artist Bio

Heather Bartlett

Heather was born in 1970 in Beaver Falls, PA, and now resides in Waldorf with her very supportive family. Her art training was through every available visual arts-related class she could attend as a child and teenager. Her plans for the future took a bit of a detour when she became pregnant at age fifteen. Years later, at the urging of her husband Robert, she picked up paper and pencil again and eventually started working in watercolors and acrylics. She most recently added clay work to her growing list of mediums. Heather currently works in mixed-media altered art and collage, acrylic, watercolor, clay, fabric, photography, computer graphics, wearable art and mosaic. Her subjects include fantasy, fairy, mermaid, pagan, sacred feminine and plus-sized body themes as well as nature, architecture, and social themes of women and society. She also blogs daily on personal and political matters and ideals. She also writes plays and poems and for fun, love letters. You can find her on the web at www.HeatherBartlettArt.com.
